When you think of flower colours, many will think of whites, pinks, yellows, reds, purples, oranges and blues. Generally, flowers make you think of spring and summer.
When I look at this image I think ‘autumn.’ Colour influences how you see things—a person’s interpretation is dependent on personal experiences. I can associate certain colours with certain events, like seeing these colours and thinking ‘autumn.’
I chose this image for this post because of the richness of the colour in this flower—purple, yellow, red and orange—and because in the middle of August, fall colours were a contrast to the season and colour expectations.
